5 #bookwormproblems That Drive Me Crazy

1. Reader. Shaming.

AKA

“Aren’t you a little old to be reading YA books? Shouldn’t you be reading something a little more…age appropriate…how can you be a reader if you’ve never read the classics!”

AGGGGGHHHHHGAAAAKKKKK

Let me just get this straight here, okay?

I have the majority of my life where I’m forced to go to work, to pay bills, to do homework and all that other “adulting” nonsense people are going on about and you’re telling me that in my free time, in MY happy place, I can’t read whatever the heck I want to give me happiness! NOW you want to tell me I have to “read like an adult” on top of all the other stuff I have to do “like an adult”?

NUH-UH!

JUST LET ME LIVE MY LIFE! 😫😫

I won’t bother going into details on the obvious that the age of characters in a book has nothing to do with how good that book may be.

2. SPOILERS 🤬🤬🤬

I actually love the fact that social media today has allowed for us to connect easily with other people who share similar passions and interests because NOBODY in my offline life reads books like I do.

#thestruggleisreal

And how am I supposed to bond with other readers and obsess over all my favorite books without sites like Goodreads and Litsy and reader groups on Facebook!

At the same time, I’m also knowingly and willfully surrounding myself virtually with people who are just as obsessed with books as I am and have absolutely no chill when it comes to dropping those spoilers!

On that note, we’re now four days away from Kingdom of Ash release. I am still working on Empire of Storms. Throne of Glass fandom, I’m looking at you all!

🙊🙊🙊🙊🤐🤐🤐🤐🤐 Don’t. You. Say. One. Word.

3. THE EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER

(If you don’t know that song by Vivian Green I need you to get on spotify)

I will defend until the end of time my emotional attachment to fictional characters and their lives…but…let’s just say it may or may not get to be a little much at time

*ahem* I am not okay with the emotional abuse certain authors have inflicted on me and furthermore can I just say that my heart, and my soul, and my blood pressure don’t have time for this foolishness.

4. Neither Time nor my TBR List Are on My Side

Too much stuff to read and not enough time!

OR

Too much free time and I’ve got nothing to read!

What kind of sick, demented joke is this! 😫😫😫

5. Book Hangovers

📙📖🙂😂🤔😥😍😤🤧😡😱🤓😀🙈🙊🙉😳😨🤯….📙

……I don’t know what to do with myself now….
